Latest project, Bucy MTO: Delayed !

At the recent trunk show at Shoes & Shirts, Maastricht (Netherlands) I ordered a pair (like below) of Corthay, model Bucy in Caviar, expected to arrive mid september.

Unfortunately my pair did not pas the final quality check because of imprecise stitching on one shoe.
Of course Pierre decided to make a new pair that meets both our expectations in high quality

My pair is in progress right now with the highest priority and is expected to arrive within 14 days!

..... to be continued .....

Arca Boucle - Aubergine

Steven Taffel from Leffot (NY) has yet again put another special Corthay model in stock.

This is not the model Jouvet but the model Arca with a monkstrap (Boucle or Buckle) on a 001 last in Aubergine.

As you can see (click on picture for enlargement) Pierre Corthay finished this pair with a „Periwinkle Piping". Periwinkel is a colour in the blue-violet family and is sometimes also called lavender blue. We think its a beautiful combination with the aubergine upper.

Satan - Shaded Blue Patent

Pierre Corthay keeps on trying different colours, shades, shapes and materials for his beautifull shoes.

This time we show you the model Satan in a shaded blue patent on the 001 last.

Pierre Corthay donates Arca for New Zealand charity auction

Yesterday, Pierre Corthay attended the 'Rugby Uniting for Christchurch' charity auction. Alongside quite unique lots (among which sculptures by Jean-Pierre Rives, a trip to the Rugby World Cup, signed French and All Black rugby jerseys), featured a Black Arca with red piping, donated by Pierre. Aptly described as an All Black shoe with a touch of French Flair ....

A charity auction presented by the New Zealand Rugby Union in conjunction with Avenport Investment Group.
The auction, run by Artcurial-Briest-Poulain-F.Tajan, will feature an exclusive selection of rugby memorabilia,
including the unique "Bvlgari Chronosprint Endurer All Blacks" watch.
The proceeds of the auction will be donated to the New Zealand Government’s Christchurch Earthquake Appeal.
